New Enterprise LMS for the University of San Francisco

With wide responsibilities, University of San Francisco’s Human Resources Department launched Element LMS and tackled a list of priorities. High on the list – a time-eating, ad hoc process used to manage compliance for its mandated anti-sexual harassment training.

 The USF HR Dept was ready for a modern LMS system. Operations for 1,200 faculty and staff include onboarding, orientations, live courses and workshops, and hundreds of professional development courses. 

USF needed to integrate management of a wide span of offerings, formats, tracking and reporting. For lack of a modern LMS, USF was using a variety of different tools and methods, often in ad hoc ways.

USF branded the new LMS “myLearning”, which was integrated with the Banner system and configured with single sign on for easy access.

A mandated anti-sexual harassment course was configured to automatically enroll, invite, deliver courses, track compliance in two-year cycles, notify out-of-compliance, and generate reports.

The LMS was configured to automate the time-consuming mechanics of training program promotion and delivery. It handles front-to-back process from registration and reminders and course delivery to assessment, tracking, and reporting.

MyLearning was configured to integrate Skillsoft and LawRoom course libraries for one-stop access, integrated transcripts, and easier offerings updates.
